Matthew J. Taylor, PT, PhD, C-IAYT

Matt has been creating since his early days as a US Army physical therapist when he was assigned the additional duty of Post Fitness Facilitator in 1982 [It was a new position and no one had been one before!]. His career has included teaching some of the first Back Schools in US government facilities, building an integrated physical therapy/health club medical gym in a town of 3500 with a staff of seventeen, and since 2004 directing a mindfulness/yoga-based rehabilitation clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. The practice closed in May 2016 as Dr Taylor will devote his full time to his Institute. The practice was a cash-based and the place where the future of rehabilitation was being created, based on his textbook, Fostering Creativity in Rehabilitation.  His unique blend of emerging neuroscience, transformative learning theory and yoga therapeutics offered his patients with chronic, complex health challenges hope and practical tools for easing their suffering. Matt has helped therapists around the world change their personal and professional practices to align with their passion in life as an author, teacher and consultant
